She illustrated the children’s book Frederick’s Garden (2001), published by Telfair Museums in conjunction with its major exhibition on the American Impressionist painter Frederick Carl Frieseke (1847–1939). DeLong’s ink and watercolor drawings accompany the story of a mischievous group of mice who observe Frieseke’s painting practice in his garden in Giverny and are inspired to create their own masterpiece.
